As I said, I had less than one day to do something before I left the UK again, so had one opportunity to post something and no opportunity to receive a reply as I wasn't going to be there - and overall, I'd prefer to take the piss than to take them seriously.

As it stands, they haven't charged the hire company (or at least, hadn't when I emailed them about 3 months later) and I've heard nothing either, as far as I'm concerned that's a result.
