hi im new to the forum and in need of some advice...
i have a debt with capital one for £859.40 the credit card dates back 6 or 7 years and the debt was sold on previously to moorcroft. i was paying moorcroft a minimal monthly payment of £2.00 as a gesture towards my debt. i then had to stop paying my debt due to financial reasons (overall i have £70.000 of debt due to a house repossession). moorcroft then sent the debt back to capital one and they sold it on to fredrickson. they started with the typical letters and the confirmed residency letter etc. i get texts at 8.07am every day and have had voicemails for weeks. now i have had a "LETTER BEFORE ACTION" letter saying they are going to take me to court and add on the usual charges of £68.75 interest, £55 court fees and £70 solicitor fees.
what am i to do.. ive seen people have mentioned the 3 letters what are they and where can i get templates?
i am quite worried, mainly because my wife is starting to get nervous about it now and these debts pre date my relationship with my wife so arent her debts!
can someone please help me.... please!!
