Inland Rev - Tax return (Need help plz)

Postby Ben_Deevoy » Fri Jun 15, 2012 4:04 pm

Hiya guys, inland revenue send me a notice ever year saying I have to fill in a tax return.

When I was 18 (9 years ago) I got a CIS card so I could get a job labouring, I never got the job & have never worked "self employed" So naturally took it upon myself to constantly ignore their notice & threats of fines etc.

Got a new notice & the fines have gone up from £100 to over £1600 a year for late tax returns. Scary stuff....

I just phoned them & explained I had illegally opened a letter addressed to the PERSON they may believe to be me. They asked for my N.I. no. but I refused to give it, instead said "It cant be used as I.D. & if I gave it, it would make me a slave to a corporation".... He refused the notice ref number & thus the convo ended.

Just wondered if somebody had a template I could send the inland revenue fuckers ? And politely inform them I wont be paying or bowing down ? & that I will no longer be accepting the paperwork addressed to my person.

Wouldd be great if somebody could please help..... Many thanks guys
Ben

I'm having the same problem with this mob also.

Went self-employed back in 10' to go for a carpenter job - never got it.

Got the fines through yada yada - appealed the fine and won. Was then told that everything was sorted and I was taken off the register for self-employment.

Got a fine through the following year - called them up to say I had been taken off the register, but was told that I couldn't appeal the new fine and had to fill in a further tax return form for the previous year and the current year

I've ignored them since - the bill is now creeping towards the £2000 mark.

I really wouldn't give a shit, but I was on a short-term contract job for a while there (on emergency tax) so I guess I can say goodbye to any tax return payments for that year.

Have started a new permanent job and was going to apply for working tax credits, but I guess they would also tell me to piss off considering the bill is still on going?
