Cycle helmets £50

Postby DaveScotFree » Mon Jan 31, 2011 12:44 pm

Cycle helmets to help guberment 50 quid.

A bill to make it an offence in Northern Ireland not to wear a helmet while cycling is due to be voted on in the Assembly later.

The legislation has been proposed in a Private Member's Bill tabled by the SDLP's Pat Ramsey.

It proposes to fine anyone caught on a bike without a helmet £50.

i wear one when i go down-hilling through the woods at 40 mph i wear a full face one but iam vehemently opposed to being told to wear one on the streets for general riding it sits on top your head for starters how many times have you ever fallen straight on top your head its usually a face plant or the back of your head the netherlands is opposed to it they ride there bikes everywhere it should be a matter of choice
in my humble opinion
