In that case you can close the page without any worry for it says, "Your signature has been recorded." as far as our more immediate serious concern is concerned.

I think you will find it is a petition to Basildon Council... as it is not a UK government issue (they just won't allow the international organisations in to negotiate with the head of state (chair of planning committee of the Council)) to negotiate..

All Council's under their constitution normally give a right for those living, working or STUDYING in the district to have the issue subject to the petition debated by full council and a decision notice issued. 5,000 petition seems to be the required number..

This is I think the first time the provision has been used..
