I cant find any official pronouncement of the fact, can you point me in the right direction, was it in parliament this was announced, or just on dalefarm dot com

Ive done some research, I phoned up the two councils and asked why they weren't included within ethnic minority and they said, in essence, because they weren't actually ethnic minorities , then i phone up the EaHRC and asked them what law said they were. and they couldn't tell me, eventually they passed me to head of legal, who said, it was from the housing act which recognizes them as a minority with special needs, but not actually an ethnic minority as they don't fit that description

so no not a ethnic minority, unless you can produce a law( or an act) which says they are

Which councils did you ring? Ill ring them myself and ask why are they supplying false information about an ethnic minority people? Could be they are discriminating against the people by denying them their status!

Please provide the councils and ill ring them first thing tomorrow and speak to the relevant people, diversity team, you did speak to them didn't you, the people who are more than likely to know? You did get past the switch borad operator to ask you question didn't you? I dont doubt you did, just thought id ask in case you didn't.

its not actually their( EHRC) job to say who is and who isnt, thats THE GOVERNMENT AND OR THE COURTS TO SAY, they say there is law that says so, but cant tell me what law that maybe,
i found a Scottish case that said they weren't, but i can find an English one that says they are

Scots and Welsh gypsies are not classified as ethnic minorities. Only Romany And Pavee. (Gypsy and Irish traveller, both names GIVEN to the people)

why dont you ask them about that whilst your on ?

No bother at all, just provide the numbers you rang who told you Travellers were not ethnic minorities. This did happen didn't it? I mean you did ring 'two councils' didn't you? And were told clearly they wasn't, wasn't you? You didn't just come to this conclusion yourself and basically dissimulate to support your opinion did you? I mean did you? Perhaps it was a mistake, perhaps you THOUGHT you had rung 2 different councils and Thought you spoke to two different people about the issue and they told you what you reported here with a clear conscience as FACT...easily done...is that what happened?

The number you give is that a council as it doesn't seem to be? Where is the other council number. please dont give me links. You have the numbers you rang just provide them. You did ring them didn't you. can i say you did when i contact them. can i? Can i say, you contacted them and they told you travellers were not an EM, perhaps they also told you they were not protected by the race relations act either, did they? i want to get this right because i dont want people to think you were lying, you already have been banned we wouldn't want you disciplined for lying to cause offense would we? I mean would we? please provide the other number and i assure you i will ring both on monday morning bright and early and give them a bit of my mind for misleading you and making you look a liar on a forum you have already been banned from a few times! Why have you come back?
