URGENT ****DALE FARM PETITION****URGENT

i hope your prayers are answered Jackie......its outrageous....i'm kinda glad i aint there...cos i felt so much anger when i looked at those pictures....what people fail to understand is that our actions and opinions will be disciplined within this current life..or one of our future lives....and one day the boot really will be on the other foot....if we don't voluntarily learn to tolerate,love and respect...we will have to learn the hard way....thats why we suffer....its is such a injustce whats happening around that field...but...the majority of people's opinions are in support of the police and council....and that i find hard too comprehend.

People used to call a period of time the "dark ages".....to me nothings changed...except a thin veneer and polish..is covering (for now) the darkness that lies beneath....that darkness being greed,ignorance,selfishness,envy and anger....unfortunately i see these qualities with myself also....but before i clean my house...i have to recognise and admit it needs cleaning

It's all kicking off now as I watch Sky reporting. It's heartbreaking to think all these families want to do is live together as a family on their own land. Like Kathleen McCarthy said, the land was purchased with the understanding planning permission would be granted. I think those in authority who make these decisions will not understand until they find themselves in a vulnerable position where they are threatened with eviction from their homes. The greed is everywhere. Elderly people were evicted from their homes next to the Tate Gallery here in St Ives Cornwall...why? The Housing Association did a deal with the Tate to sell the land to extend the Tate and build some luxury flats. Yes, the tenants were told they could return to this site once everything was redesigned. But we're talking about elderly frail people and uprooting such people in my mind is criminal. I am sick of this corrupt government and now is the time to stand up and act!

yeah...just been lookin at the pics and comments on yahoo....but it gets me angry....and the racist comments...very sad....and your right,others will only understand when they've felt it....so by the laws of karma....they will have to feel these thing....its gonna get worse....to see the so-called police tooled up like this attacking peoples homes...for what????!!!!

These travellers are not a race, they represent a life-style choice not ethnicity so please do not spring that argument. Even the Irish goverment does not recognise them, they're just Irish.

However, I completely agree that this eviction, or site clearance as they've been trying to call it, is disgusting. They own their land and should be allowed to build homes for their families. Shameful actions bythe police, council etc.

alrite unbong82...alrite...i'll say it a different way....ALL the hate filled comments towards a certain section of society who get given the label....gypsies,travellers,tinkers....i mentioned it to a fella in my road about Dale farm...he says"well i could tell you some storys about gypsies"...i says "yeah...and i can tell you some stories about other people"....you get good and bad in every group...whether its the one at Dale Farm...your own housing estate or internet forum.....and i'm glad you see this destruction of peoples homes disgusting

Posted guardian comment. Haven't finished with this one yet, if at all. Land and ownership is at the heart of the freemanleagues fight for freedoms. If it's not understood, then we'll never actually be able to free ourselves from our own obsession with ownership of land.

The irish traveller's have been around for a lot longer than any of our so called urban settlements. They used to have stopping points, places that your own distant relatives used for saftey. The way of life is completely natural. Eventually they were forced away because of the urban sprawl and land ownership which they were forced to get embroiled in because it became the only way to hold onto land they once used freely. So in fact who was it who invaded who without due respect. It's only now, with our obsession for ownership of land which if you think about it is the most bizarre human obsession of all. No land at all can be owned. It's already part of the human race. We already are of the land, or are we some kind of weird human mutation that now puts a price on life itself. Another words ownership of land becomes the arbitor of whether your due a life anyway. Get it right . . it most certainly is ethnic cleansing. It only goes unoticed as such because the way of life has been all but erradicated in this country, so most people think it's illegal. We've got so used to calling ourselves 'human' that we seem to think we have the right to push people around if we don't quite fit into what we deem of as human. Rather a contradiction in terms and a sad day indeed. One that will come to haunt us in time. Especially as haven't you noticed, our own so called civilised society, the one we think of as righteous is in a spot of bother at the moment. The call by the 90% is just a clinging on to the remains of what's left of a dying imperialism that seems to think it can re-arrange life in it's own image where diversity is all but buried in a sea of normality that becomes more and more facist every day. I ask the 90% to take a good look in the mirror . . i mean for about 5 minutes at least and tell me if you haven't got a problem with your image or your heart. We're talking lives here, not some predisposition to artifact of ownership. When you find you have a problem with your own finances and your shown the door along with your children, maybe you'll remember Dale Farm and what it actually represented because you've all just signed the contract that gives authority jurisdiction over your own head.

For your information these people are recognised as an ethnic minority...to suggest its a life style shows your ignorance. As for the irish government, they dont recognise the ethnicity of the Travellers because to do so would mean they could no longer discriminate against them as they do. do a bit of basic research before you post on what you dont know. twat!

I left Dale farm yesterday, what i saw there will stay with me forever, the comradeship, the fear, the hate, the bizarre, the art work, the police violence in a civil dispute.. the lot..I could go into details and recount some of the amusing things joined with the tragic but i dont feel there are many who deserve that insight and so i wont elaborate.

I can only thank those who supported Dale Farm either by being there or emailing their support. In all, from tpuc and the freeman league combined, 6 people attended either the site or the march...yes 6! From the many members of both. The authorities must be shating themselves!

The lack of support would suggest, in my opinion, most are only into complaining how they are being shafted as they grease up their asses...I have no problem with the members on both site forums, we do what we do and support what we support..Freedom has to be for all not only those you think should have it.

Dale Farm survives in the hearts and minds of those who were there. Viva the spirit of Dale Farm and its tiny voice of defiance.

Seems the police are backing away from the accusation they used tasers as a form of crowd control and are stating they fired in defence...the footage released seems to show them firing when they came to de fense maybe thats what they meant...
