I suppose balls arent essential for the whole ability to actually give a shit about anyone besides yourself but didnt we all just know from the outset that this "rock band" 
would be receiving all kinds of prestigous awards from the prestigous award givers such as those that might give "comedies" like "The Office" an award.What I mean by "the darkness" are the types of "artists" with absolutely nothing to express, making a fortune out of selling shit. It doesnt matter whether its selling the latest line in new biological biz, or selling out the old non-economically-viable cultural values for new productive ethical values as those sponsored by your local military wielding extortion racketeers and general enslavers.
At one time I used to think of people like kylie minogue and rick astley as just wholesome cleancut mainstream music for really stupid people but over the years Ive begun to realise there is a reason for the whole dumbed down, fucked up, "please fuck my arse harder mr government official", type people (who are sometimes unfairly referred to as sheeple).
Rick Astleys singing career is thankfully now as dead as the minds of the morons who went to his concerts and kylie has sexed up her image which has unfortunately allowed her to keep going strong as the queen of the fucked up in the head people, although she has some hot competition from lady gaga. While you might see any of these (ahem) artists selling anything from cars and beer to charitable vaccecution programmes for third world countries you never see them saying anything real. Infact the nearest you get to anything real from these people are repetitions of the mantras of other people.
Since the days of what I like to aptly call "Stock Music" (stock aitken and waterman), Ive honed my skills so much at spotting these soulless people that it now extends to people on the street and even "personalities" on the internet. (I mean personality in the most generic sense). In general you dont even get repetitions of real mantras from these people unless they are trying to impress you for the sake of some personal gain which is rare because theyve usually sucked up/kicked down their way to a position where they will be gleefully looking down on you as they force you to perform some task for them and you dont get the slightest hint of real empathy from them as they do this. It might be some guy in a suit telling the cleaner to work faster or it could be some woman looking down her glasses telling you that its neccessary for you to fill out her form. Some people like to keep these people happy but I like to tell them to go fuck theirselves.
