Arrested for speeding

Postby WinstonSmith » Sun Mar 13, 2011 11:57 pm

I was driving at around 35mph towards my home, as I pulled down my drive Blue lights and siren came on, it was almost 10pm and my 3 year old child was asleep (was)
The dog unit officer was alone and proceeded to accuse me of speeding, I told him I wasn't speeding, he insisted and became arrogant, I told him I was going into my house to use the toilet as by now he was being disrespectful, I told him to jog on and went in, I used the toilet and came down, he had invited himself into my house, I asked him what he thought he was doing entering my house, he basically ignored me and proceeded to whine on about me speeding and made out like I was trying to escape, I reminded him we were in my house and that he also had no proof of me speeding, his car was not equipped with speed camera equipment and told him to get lost, he then told me he was arresting me for speeding. I laughed at him and told him "you can't arrest me for speeding - are you stupid" he became frustrated and annoyed, he wanted me to bow down to him and show him maximum respect; I do not respect anyone who doesn't respect me!
He then, in his frustration informed me he was arresting me for "Public disorder" I laughed again and reminded him we were in my house and this was not a public place, therefore P*** off out my house NOW! he got the cuffs out and came towards me, I told him he was a complete idiot and did not even know the law and that he was never going to get me in cuffs, he then called for back-up and within literally one minute two more of his mafia buddies turned up and barged past my partner (3 year old son in her arms) and proceeded to try to grab me, I informed them I had a bad shoulder from an operation I had
They did not even listen, they could not have cared less and proceeded to man handle me into cuffs, even though I had told them I would go quietly, they dragged me to the squad car and I was locked in the cells till nearly 4am, I was interviewed and charged even though I had done absolutely nothing wrong, I left the Police station with no way to get home and had to walk a few miles before I found a taxi...
I went to court a few months later were I got 4 points on my license, £160 fine and the 'Public disorder' was dropped (I wonder why lol), they briefly brought up the subject, the clerk told the magistrates that they would not be pursuing it (something like that anyway)
I made a complaint to the IPCC, and some weeks later I had a police sergeant visit me at my home, he tried to talk me out of taking action, which I didn't want to do, a few weeks past and a female officer phoned and basically tried the same thing, I told her I wasn't going to drop it, she called me back a few days later and tried to make me believe I was wasting my time, I told her I would not be dropping the complaint but if she could show me evidence that the officer (PC Nuth, of Rayleigh Police station, Essex) had been reprimanded I would drop the matter, she said she would speak to her superior and call back. She never called back.
Because of the way the Police handled me I had a second operation on the shoulder, they had disturbed the metal screws that were holding the bone, the screws had to be removed as they were causing me intense pain, this was due to the mob handed Police and the way I was forced and dragged out of my house in front of my 3 year old son and partner, my son was screaming and pretty much traumatized and so was my partner, and I was treated like a murderer.
I made a freedom of information request a month or so later to find out what was going on and the request was denied.
I'm still waiting.

Another prime example of why Americans have the right to bare arms. It was never to protect themselves from there fellow man. But to protect from government/state abuse! Which the American government/state will find out in due time..

Question is what to do we the English have to protect from government/state tyranny ?

U guessed it - a complaint form

Another example of why we need to get judges and magistrates on their oaths in court, so that they cannot convict without evidence of crime, and so that they apply the law EQUALLY, not just issue fines and LO's on the say so of so called 'authorities'.

Well, taking the O.P's story at face value, this is outrageous behaviour by the cops !!

First thing that I'd be doing is taking out a private prosecution of that first 'officer' (and his mates)! Also against the chief constable of Essex police. The charge would be ABH and anything else I could think of.
I'm afraid if he had invited himself into MY house like that,I WOULD have removed him, forceably if required ! If he didn't have a signed warrant (which he wouldn't have for such a minor offence),then he HAS to leave when told to do so !
The Criminal Injuries Compensation Board might also be interested in this. I'd be making it as public as possible too (press)......you watch the change in attitude when the press gets involved !
This sort of behaviour is simply NOT acceptable ! I say sue the arse off them for everything you can get ! They need to be taught some respect.....that is the main point here !

When I see posts like this I do a quick search on the net to see if you can find these PCs mentioned elsewhere to see if there is a pattern of being a tool, I didn't find any dirt to dish but his email address is found hear http://www.rayleighbusiness.co.uk/article.asp?id=23" why not send him an email to tell him personally how you feel about what happened and ask him if has he been reprimanded, who knows he might even say sorry but I doubt it but you might gain some satisfaction for telling him directly how you feel I know I would, he may even appreciate the public he works for giving him feedback on his work ;) just a word of caution if you do this read your email a few times to make sure there isn't anything liableness amongst it that he could use against you or jeopardize your original complaint I would do it in a respectful manner as possible leaving out the urge to call him an arse hole also but hope he replied in such a manner to forward on to his superior with your original complaint  I imagine they can track you through an I.P. address so be careful

lmao... Too tempting to give them a load of abuse tbh.. I have a journalist interested in the case now, James Melley of Essex radio, he's going to be bugging them pretty soon, I reckon he's gonna stir it up hehehe

Believe me, I was close, my partner had to give me the look she gives me when I'm in danger of blowing my top, I was on some kind of Steroid at the time too (for my post op) which made it hard to keep my cool, but I behaved because I thought at the time he would be in the shit for his wrong behavior. They just do what ever they like, just like a Mafia mob

A clear and accurate observation.

Seems like PC Nuth (Rayleigh police station, Essex) had his ego piqued and just couldn't deal with it like a man.

Winston, please put your story up on the P.I.G. site: http://www.policeinvestigation.org.uk

Police complaints and absolutely do not accept a "local resolution" make them dance a different tune
