Passport chips

Postby canada » Sat Aug 22, 2009 11:01 pm

This isn't so much of a story as a question. I got my son's passport back and it has a electronic chip in it, which seems to be a new development. I'm assuming it stores all the info that is also on the passport itself. Is this the chip that people talk about us getting that we will one day get in our hand and forehead?

Be careful though they may not let you into a country if they scan it and it doesnt work.

Check this report regarding the security effectiveness of these passports

Well I would just say to them that's tough luck and I don't want tracked though I don't think they would accept that as a plausable answer.

You do realise that in just writing what you have is in its self an offence ....lol
Now dont get me wrong but there are better ways to make the chip appear to be non working. All this info was available on the internet when they started with this noncense.I posted a few things about it on another site saying how to check the data on it and how to correct it.But since then they have changed the data encryption and i havent got the help of an old friend(now unavailable at someones pleasure overseas).but im looking for more info and will report back as and when i find it ..lol

keep the faith and do not give in

Zap it with a neodymium magnet, then say you hid your documents inside a stereo speaker at home.; then play dumb at check-in.

We aren't too far away from a cashless/chipped society, where they can take you offline in a heartbeat.
