Law v Regulation what is the Difference?

Post by trevr » Sun Oct 16, 2016 7:21 am

I went to the Bank the other day to withdraw £2000 of my £2500 chq for comp.

First they asked "what do you intend to do with the money?"
In so many words "Nun a ya biz" - I replied calmly!
They said they were refusing my request and declined to give me ANY money.
They said they were obliged to adhere to Regulation.

Thanks for any responses.........

They are over-zealously applying the money laundering regulations. Regulations that they must adhere to.

However, you hardly helped yourself did you? Why be antagonistic for the sake of it? Why not simply say you were buying a car/settee/etc. just to satisfy the idiot laws?

BTW, once you deposit money into a bank, it becomes theirs, not yours. - Look it up. ;)

I personally keep a large amount of cash handy, but even then I'm very limited on how I can spend it without attracting the unwanted attentions of officialdom.

We do not live in a free country, get used to it.

Thank you very much Ben Dover for your input. We've seen a few of your technical videos.

Firstly in regards to being antagonistic. The truth hurts as they say. It's my lolly. Telling them it's for a car/settee etc is false representation and again Nun of their biz.if money held by them for keepsake is considered their own then the system is a FRAUD

It may be that they don't understand what contract or trust and confidence means...as urself .

Not innit to argue or fight here more looking for proactive knowledge.

Look at the subject title nd stick to the point... Law v Regulation what is the difference.
