But then the brain is gone tommy boy and that means no more spreading the "truth" to those who have already looked at said "truth" and found it everything but!

The brain is not the mind/Spirit of which I have proven to myself is true. I pity you and your poverty of mind.

Thomas, you clearly do not understand what I am saying, which is fine. This thread is about people being free to say what they wish, good or bad, without fear of persecution or prosectution.

Do you think people should be safe in their own homes or not :?:

It is not about religion, or what an individual claims is 'the Law', or about people being made unsafe or subjected to harm or loss.

Law, I never mentioned religion.

A mere utterance cannot cause harm or loss, by attempting to police such things almost certainly will.

Politicians propaganda with words doesn't cause wars, is that you logic.

And this :?:

PROTOCOL 1
THE BASIC DOCTRINE
Right lies in Might – Politics versus Morals – The End justifies the Means – "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity" – The New Aristocracy.

1:16.
Out of the temporary (permanent) evil we are now compelled to commit will emerge the good of an unshakeable rule, which will restore the regular course of the machinery of the national life, brought to naught by liberalism. The result justifies the means. Let us, however, in our plans, direct our attention not so much to what is good and moral as to what is necessary and useful.

I agree we are spirits and as such we dont need other spirits advising us...in their opinion.. what we have to do to be good spirits. And in doing so CONNING us into accepting that a more advanced spirit has given them this advice to pass DOWN to us thereby implying they are ABOVE us.

Has it ever occurred to you that you are wrong and maybe, god forbid, i nearer the truth even if im still zillion of miles away from it? I know it occurs to me.

I am so glad I ventured out form the law forums. I haven't laughed so much in ages. :D I love how a thread about free speech and what if any restrictions should be put on it has turned into first a discussion on the pro's and cons of homosexual sex in public, then into a religious discussion. :D

I originally thought that the natural restriction on freedom of speech would come from the audience to it. But after reading this post I am not too sure the world would be ready for Tomas and Geronimo having a discussion in person in public. I for one am going to write to every TV company I can get the address for and demand the Thomas and Geronimo Show!! How about it guys?
Just to be vey clear and transparent, this information is widely available to those who are not in the legal profession and I am not telling you anything you could not (and most likely have) found out for yourself.

That's what I'm talking about!! I see no frills or special effects just you two on a sofa having one of these discussions. Classic!

Anyway back to the discussion. It may come as a shock to many of you who have read my previous posts but I am against the currant restrictions on free speech. Doing things like threatening people or encouraging them to commit crime/ hurt people is already a crime and I think what is increasingly happening is that we are trying to limit what people say because it might upset someone.
The natural enemy of stupid people and there opinions is debate and discussion. If i say something like "only people born in the english speaking world are attractive and intelligent" you would most likely ask for proof then pull my argument apart leaving me looking like the idiot I am. If I am prevented from saying it I can claim conspiracies and that in some peoples eyes empowers my views.

A classic case is what has been discussed on this forum about people regardless of their sexual persuasion encouraging anal sex in public. Now as having sex in public (when in the sight of others who object) is already an offence I fail to see why thinking or speaking about it should be banned.

Another case is politicians like Geert Wilders who was banned from speaking to a group from the House of Lords as his views where deemed to be racist. However by not allowing him to speak it has given ammunition to people like him who will claim that if he was a non white, non christian individual then he would be allowed to say why he likes. Which is not true but as it is only being debated by those who hold the view unchallenged.

Just my view
