now we all know the work programme is a complete waste of time .its just another means of getting you sanctioned ..however while its difficult to sue the dwp as they are a govt body ,a work programme provider is a much easier target particularly if they are the one who raise the sanction in the first place .........same principle as suing the garage,s who co operate with the police who illegaly take cars. legal principles are ...you suffer hardship due to the actions of an individual ( in this case the work programme adviser who raised the doubt about you ) and the results of the action was FORESEEABLE in other words they knew what the result of raising the doubt would be

with regard to workfare or mwra ,work experince placement . you may not be insured as you are neither an employee or a volunteer . find out who the company is insured by ,ring them and ask if you are insured if your not its illegal

It would be good to name and shame the companies that are complicit in this. I know poundland are one of them but it would be good to compile a list and try and ostracise them for engaging in what is slave labour.

im fairly sure there are lists of the companies who run these placements online. whats disturbing is that quite a few are " chrarities" oxfam being one who are using slave labour . more than that they are aiding the dwp in sanctioning vulnerable people ........sounds very charitable of them
