Hey Madlookin, Im really hoping this doesn’t stoop to an argument - Ive been honest in my reply and though it’s a bit long and rambling I hope you read it through – I think ultimately we agree – and sorry if I get repetitive….

It isnt just this fella, its creationists of any stripe that I cant stand and yes, I have seen this stuff before, it is from the 90's - Ive been looking into this stuff for many years (I was 57 yesterday) and have researched most religions extensively, with this one its maybe 30 yrs ago that I discovered the Mahabarata as I used to want these things to be true but now I just know they cant be.... the only ones that are even close to dependable are the ones with no god head cos they dont wrap their teaching round trying to prove him which is what the happy clappy Hindus and Hare Krishnas do as we see in Forbidden Archaeology which is a book by anti evolutionists who are trying to make their research look credible which indeed it does to people who arent used to some of the rigorous methods of testing and peer review which are the basic academic norm - research is a discipline with set procedures, its a study module in its own right and these guys didnt adhere to those methods and so earned the disapproval of many who do honour the academic norm of theory testing which, if ignored, brings into question the integrity the research in question.

Most religions have at their hearts gems of wisdom and Hinduism is no exception but they all lose moral superiority when they use force, fear or any other dishonest technique to make their version of events more appealing.

None of this is to say that I accept the current versions of events - my belief is that history has been stolen and distorted by the jolly controllers down through the centuries. Its been rewritten more times than soft mick and always from the point of view of the victors of course and Im the first to hold my hands up to the probabilities that in the past, information didnt make it through the veils into the realms of common knowledge and this is probably because we wouldnt have understood it anyway en masse (or we would have been here sooner) as education was very much withheld from the masses by the very people who are now trying to use it to their own ends as a way to prove their various religions - we are talking here about the happy clappy chappies who dance around joyously in their orange frocks strewing people with petals or whatever, its a pull medium the same as their badly researched book is, they are saying what people in this day and age want to hear, its like the many rewrites of the (inerrent lol) bible in accordance with current criticism - I really like Hindu people, they are gentle and understanding and so helpful, one of my best friends is a Hindu and I delight in the days when Im asked to look after her little girl as she is one of the sweetest children I ever knew but this doesnt make their religion any more acceptable than any of the others and it doesn’t mean that because these guys are showing holes in generally accepted Christian version of history that what they proffer as alternatives is any better - Hindus arent the only ones to disagree with the current versions of history though its a great puller of those with rebellious tendencies like most of us.

We have traditionally believed in the bibles version of history but more and more in recent times those views are being questioned and challenged, the church kept a tight reign on the education system for that very purpose and we see echoes of this nowadays in Islam where the emphasis on faith and obedience is rigidly imposed and they are reinforcing the fear aspect to the degree where people will blow themselves up but is the ‘onward Christian soldiers’ notion really any better?

The vatican libraries must house miles of information which has been hidden from us, there is no denying any of this but to stop searching and start blind belief in a theory put about by a couple of biased scholars who were too afraid to go the usual academic rigors of peer review is somewhat gorgonzola to say the least - yep, Im not into creationism in the least and thats what these guys are getting at, they are saying that mankind has been here longer than we have been led to believe and this is where they veer off from the christian 6000 yr theory but that is all, they are starting with a conclusion and making the facts fit it...... most of us don’t believe the 6000 yr thing anyway………

Even the christians have started to make "scientific" claims relative to the universe and inner consciousness etc, they are distorting science to their own ends by making claims totally unsupported by the Bible, Id like anybody to show me a bit of the bible that mentions anything other than elephants all the way down or obeying commandments for all bodily urges - these people work on the old principles where the people hearing the claims didnt dare ask for proof and when they actually started to do so (after all the other fear techniques eventually failed) we got the inquisition to take our minds off any dissent - faith = fear and discourages questioning and reason so these guys come along and speak with seeming authority which taps into the faith meme which so many people react to automatically as they are conditioned to, its like that funny handshake that hypnotists or NLP'ers do and which the church is no stranger to, reason is removed when authority is asserted by those who are conditioned to obey their superiors, it’s the oldest trick in the book. They do it with the drugs thing nowadays too
http://www.cognitiveliberty.org/1jcl/1jcl23.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Have a look at this, its speaking of techniques used against the Hindus but in reality, they are all as bad as each other in their quest for power and supremacy over their fellow humans - mind manipulation is alive and well and is the tool of preference nowadays for all evangelical groups - they are perfecting it good style too, its like the battle has been renewed for our minds.

http://www.christianaggression.org/item ... e=articles" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The people who suffered at the hands of the various religions were our forbears, they were the ones of their day who like us lot, challenged the powers that be and saw through the rules which were imposed on the poor for the benefit of the rich and I think that falling for religious clap trap is dishonoring their memories........ the church were the politicians of yesteryear, till they had their balls severed they ruled even kings.........

Religion is great in its place for those who will, no problem whatsoever but if they decide to try to use the scientific principles to prove their notions then they had best do it to a standard which is beyond reproach or it will inevitably attract the attention of those whom they are attempting to discredit and this is exactly what these two were trying to avoid in their avoidance of publication in peer reviewed journals.

I also have to question why they need an actor to present their stuff (1996 version), the evidence should speak for itself surely - its the same with any god belief, if there was one we would know, it would be as obvious as the daylight and we would have no need for faith - we dont need faith in the sun and moon or rain or wind or birth and many other forms of natural beauty.... the jolly controllers have duped us for millennia and their way of doing so was via superstition - rebellion has also been a constant as has the cry of "off with their heads" in whatever language or era, those who disagree with the elite are the ones to pay the price till "order" is restored at which point folk knowledge goes underground once more for however long it takes till the next uprising - if we want to talk about hidden archaeology lets talk about it from the perspective of the people rather than the controllers. We cant just replace one set of superstition with another and Christianity and Krishna Consciousness are ultimately incompatible, its very clever how they have aimed this at a Christian market but possible that was a push from modern marketing technique masters making a push in their own interests, no doubt their own karma will catch up with them lol……

These guys are pushing their version of events like all the other religionistas do, they brush over the findings of their peers which is an academic no no, academically you have to reasonably present a case for your own perspective and this involves examining data from previous findings and saying why they disagree as well as opening oneself to criticism from peers before publication but theres none of that with this, they just say that they think this way and provide very inadequate reasoning and no justification which makes the whole book suspect in the minds of their peers who do work within the norms of the paradigm of academic integrity which proffers testable evidence .....

"This information was not presented because it would have destroyed the goal of the program: to attack science. The program was nothing more than a one-sided propaganda video with strong overtones of religious fundamentalism masquerading as science."

The reference given above is an excellent refutation on a point by point basis of the original material of Forbidden Archaeology - and Ive only just found it after writing the above.

Yep, I do have a problem with this kind of research as I have a problem with any kind of lack of integrity…. But shit happens and we do find that eventually the truth will out – even archaeology isn’t entirely written in stone lol – I reckon we are in for an interesting few years archaeologically speaking if we don’t all get raptured off the planet - oops, I wont be going anyway will I haha… more and more underwater finds are being made and now that the churches don’t have complete control of findings its my guess that the genesis myth will be even further debunked – does anybody know for instance that it was Adam and Lilith before Adam and Eve? Or that the ten commandments aren’t the originals?

The churches are really fighting for control now and that’s why we are seeing a resurgence of their efforts aka the use of modern persuasion techniques - they have known all along that once education became the norm that they would lose power and control which is why they fought it so hard, witchcraft indeed! That just got rid of the opposition amongst the Christians for a few generations but the time is right and we are back to deal with this whole thing from a stronger vantage point, Hitler got rid of a few generations of the Jews cos they were threatening the wealth of Europe, Blair n Bush put the cat amongst the pigeons in the middle east and it all goes along like before, killing, killing and yet more killing…… and whats coming up for Iran, are they going to obliterate the remaining Persians and Zoroastrians next? – the whole thing simply sickens me…………

Im not sure if the common enemy of all religions is science but its beginning to look that way to me…..

Trish

ps I have no belief whatsoever in the biblical account of history and do believe there were flourishing civilisations long before we have been told - as Ive said, history is told by the victors - and ive also said before how much Id love to be let loose in the vatican archives for a few years with a big team of researchers...........

Fractelle, Wonderfully put! I couldn't agree with you more. :D and if I could disagree with anything you have put I would.
I could pull out individual statements you have made and state why I agree with them, but that would make my reply at least three times the size of yours. lol. It was a joy to read.
You have obviously been investigating for quite some time, and can I just say what a breath of fresh air your essay :D is!
I too have put many years into stripping away, questioning everything and looking in as many directions as I can find.
I can only hope that many people read your comments, and think about them with an clear and open mind.

Brilliant! Thankyou.

Thanks Jack, if just one person gets what Im saying then it was worth the time taken to write it - Im made up to get your approval and cant thank you enough. Though Im sure some will disagree it cant be as bad as facing up to a bunch of rabid creationists dribbling saliva all over their bibles and brandishing metaphorical daggers in the other hand :D

Its hard work sorting through it all isnt it, its taken me a long time and a lot of painstaking work to be confident with these views - in fact my doubts started roughly 50 yrs ago and have cost me dearly but there was never any going back from when I figured out that the transubstantiation was a pile of bull............. once we start questioning it never stops, with a bit of luck that is......... :)

hi fractelle...firstly happy birthday,i also celebrated a birthday last week....now,for me this thread is about archaeology....its not about proving or disproving the existence of a godhead...to be honest i don't know much about the term "creationism" except what i read on wiki...that the word was originally a reference for fundamentalist Christians by Darwin and his friends.

it matters not to me what Cremo's spiritual beliefs are....just like when i go to the newsagent to buy milk bread and butter...i don't care what religion the bloke is who runs the shop...i do care for the quality of the products i buy...and maybe some of Cremo's research doesn't stand up to certain scientific standards or conceptions...because he didn't go through the "normal" scientific and academic procedures....but surely that doesn't discredit all the info in his book...like i have mentioned a mate lent me a copy (still got it)...its about anomalies in modern history...a faulty and shallow history(imho) that is being taught in schools today...so for me i welcome the work done by the likes of Cremo...you didn't answer...have you read his work for yourself or listened to the above broadcast? or taken the opinions of others, to reach the conclusion you have formed...for me reading the Mahabharat and then forming an opinion on "forbidden Archaeology" isn't the way i do things....shit, i wouldn't do half the things in life if i listened to others...in truth...when people have told me not to read/do stuff...i think why not? and it just impels me to read or do it more!...what i would do is form an opinion on "Forbidden Archeology" after reading it myself...otherwise i would try to withhold my judgements...and not pass comment.

incidently...i've also read the Mahabharat (a copy by Kamala Subramaniam) and i found it a beautiful book to read... "full of gems of wisdom"....also,as you brought the topic up....India is a country that has been on the receiving end of invasions...rather than the invaders...and to lump all religions to be the same is abit dogmatic...personally...if someone's lifeview or spiritual views/practices awaken a true vision of equality to others that we share the planet with...then no harm....whether its taking mdma in a rave or dancing down Oxford street singing Hare Krishna...it really doesn't bother me.

i agree your points made about history written by the victors...thats why i posted the link in the first place....to get other conceptions across...that the world might just have an older history...which is maybe reflected in the remenents of of cultures that have survived to this day and age...the Masai in Africa,Vedantist in India, the Hopi and the Aztecs..and the many others..i find it fascinating....and for me forbidden Archaeology touches on these historys...when i was a kid...i read about Easter Island...from then...i new i was being lied too..or at least...not being given a full picture....either cos "they" didn't know or were keeping it from me....anyone who listens to the above Cremo interview...i hope you feel inspired...thats all

OK, first off, belated happy birthday, I hope you had a nice time!.

Im still working on the reply to this one, sorry for the delay - Ive had computer problems - had to dismantle my monitor and its a bit fixed but I think it needs reinstalling now or something.

Basically, the vedic creationist people see science a lot differently than normal people do - and Cremo and Thompson are Vedic science bods..... If you arent familiar with the creationist debate you must think my response above is totally nuts and I dont blame you! The main thing to my mind here is that neither of us take this form of information exchange as personal criticism - and now I have to rush off again but hopefully will have more time from this afternoon onwards......

hi fractelle....then be thoughtful with your words...if you fear someone may take your words personally...then check them...to see if they are personal....for me...even the word 'personal' infers...or carrys the concept of feelings...love,hate,passion,loss,envy and happiness....i spose whatever we write or say or do in life, is all down to our personal motives and what is really behind ours words....compelling us to say what we say and why....a few times in this thread you've stated you don't want conflict....now your saying that neither of us take it personally....but i may do!...or i might just ignore...this is the beauty of freedom

Treasure Seekers, The Incas
Step inside a lost Inca city, long hidden near the cloud forests of Peru. A National Geographic expedition uses aerial reconnaissance to find this mysterious ruin – where crumbling walls guard gigantic stone heads and ancient rock art.Setting out in search of Vilcabamba, a hidden jungle city built in one of the more remote and inaccessible regions of the Inca Empire, Hiram Bingham stumbled upon one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the century—the magnificent ruins of Macchu Picchu which opened up the glories of the Inca civilization to the entire world.

when i posted this vid i was half way through...but,it doesn't give a deep history of Macchu Picchu, i will see if i can find one...sometime.

This reminds me very much of "Gods of the New Millennium " by Alan Alford ( I am currently rereading it.)

if you look past the ridiculous and unfounded conclusions they jump to (and Alan Alford isn't too ridiculous, he just hypothesises something one minute, and then 2 pages later states it as FACT which he can then base another hypothesis on and so on. )you will find they have some very interesting points to make.

Khufu might have adopted the Great Pyramid at GIza but there's no real proof he built it. A cartouche "found" by Vyse was blatantly fake, and the only evidence to suggest it dates from 2200BC odd is that they claim Khufu had it built.
The 3 great pyramids are at a sharper angle and far more precise than any other pyramids which are much more likely crude copies of a much more advanced and earlier technology.
The sphinx itself also shows evidence of severe water weathering that couldn't have happened if it was less than about 10,000 years old. (the face is too small for the body and could easily be a later adjustment.

The convenient explanation for large stone monuments is that they had loads of slaves and big whips.
One of the stones at Baalbek is apparently somewhere in the region of 800 tons, the weight of 3 Boeing 747s (with no wheels) and it is estimated 40,000 slaves are needed to pull such a thing.
Never mind the fact that wooden rollers would be easily crushed by such a weight, there seems no archaeological evidence of a huge rut being dragged across the landscape, that you might need 80,000 slaves to run them in shifts etc, or that there is no evidence there were such numbers of people in the area, no-one who proposes the slave theory has any real answer to explain what they would have eaten, etc.

If you can ignore their creationist views, you have to admit that there is a lot of evidence to suggest an advanced level of technology thousands of years before the most ancient civilizations we know of.
We just need to find a proper explanation of where that came from and where it went.
