i think you did a fantastic job ..and stood your ground superbly..and learn' t a lot in the process ....and also set in concrete our way of dealing with it is the right..common sense way of doing it also ...you also taught the less experienced officer/ policeman/constable /bobby a lesson also ..that he may pass on to his less experienced buddies of the law too..you have learn't well grass hopper...next lesson is too walk the rice paper without making a sound and ripping it ..lol

Whatever the census peeps thought to achieve with their 'police escort', it didn't work. No name, no interview, no arrest. They played their best card and lost. A learning experience for them hopefully.

I think the best course of action to take is not to engage the NCO's in any way or form. It seems that in the majority of storie's i have heard regarding trying to educate these people on the doorstep,it seems to me these people are wilfully ignorent, which is very different to innocent ignorence of what they are doing, and they like nothing more than to become confrontational towards people that are not intimidated by them.
Total non engagement is the best way in my opinion for two reasons, (1) no chance of verbal slip ups, verbal contracts, refusals, or putting faces to (occupier's), and (2) I think if people are honest with themselves, like me, they hold a deep anger and contempt for the type of people who choose to do this type of job, and that contempt in my case would, if i engaged them in conversation, end up boiling over, which they would love, so best and logical all round not to say anything at all.

Non engagement seems to be working for me, because tonight i had my fourth visit from the NCO's, and tonight was the first time they havnt left one of there WE WILL CALL AGAIN sinister little notices.
And if they do happen to catch me going in or out of my house, totally blank them.

@ nanonic100......good point....but unless someone engages and confronts with these conformed..mind controlled..Zombies..of the corporate beast ...they will remain in this state of mind ...so we have to at least embed some education...of whats right and wrong into their heads...or give them something to question their way of thinking ..when they do..leave ....and walk away...well i feel we should anyway..
