Census Resistance - Court Date 11.11.11

Hello All,
My name is Judith Sambrook and I am up in court this coming Friday, the 11 th of November for refusing to fill in the census on the grounds I could never do it while Lockheed- Martin have the contract for data collection of the census.
We, at NoConCensus, are holding a demonstration and vigil on behalf of ALL CENSUS RESISTERS and against LOCKHEED-MARTIN and the arms trade. This shall be out side Wrecsam magistrates court from 9.30 am more details are on Indymedia.
I am pleading not guilty on the grounds of human rights - as, the issue is this - does the state have a right to come between a person and their conscience ? The answer to this is ' No, they bloody well don't.'
We also want to offer solidarity and practicle support to anyone else who is resisting - so , if you, or any one you know is in this position, then please get in touch and know this , you are not alone.
If anyone would like to attend this demonstration and vigil, please come along, you would be welcome - this is on behalf of all census resisters - there are more specified details on Indymedia and I can be contacted on moriarty107@yahoo.co.uk - direct, where I shall attempt to answer all emails and enquiries.
I am not afraid - I am a single mother on dialysis, but sometimes the issues are so great and so much is at stake because friends, I want you to consider this important fact - should I be found guilty, this would, in effect say the state does hold the right to compell us to things we do not want to do, even when, as this, the issue, in this instance Lockheed Martin, are one of the most unethical companies in the world. Their trade is death, mine is peace. Should I lose it would be a bleak day for all of us , and what ever the circumstances, even if I go to prison, I will never sign that form nor shall I pay any fine imposed.

i wouldnt plead anything ..please dont plead with them as this gives them the impression that they have authority over you without proof
ask them to prove that they have juristiction over you for not filling in a form ..ask them who was hurt and where is the loss caused by you not filling in a facist state form...ask them to prove that it is a criminal offence not to fill in a form .and dont accept there bullshit about it being a act of parliament

best wishes .to far for me to come but i suppose it wont be long for them to invite me to there house of buisiness to answer why i wont fill it in ..and they will get the same answer as there dogbodies ....pure silence ...shhhHHHHH

Make sure the first thing you do is inform the judge that it is not a court hearing but an 'unlawful administrative hearing'

As someone stated, do not enter a plea.
Come plea time, tell the magistrate you do not wish to enter a plea and do not allow the magistrate to enter a plea for you.

Thank you all for your messages of solidarity and support, they are read, absorbed, aprreciated - also - all this information is so useful - as it enables us at NoConCensus ( just the three of us, all census resisters ) to offer solidarity and practicle support to other resisters. What ever we learn, we are so keen to share the skills and knowledge for the benefit of others and not just ourselves. This is why anything we learn is appreciated. I would so much like to thank you all personally, but am sure you can understand, I am a single parent, of ten year old twins, am on dialysis and doing an OU degree, plus all this organisation for the court case on Friday - that a collective e mail, I hope satisfies but the thanks offered to you such generous people is meant with absolute sincerity.
Once again, my thanks to all of you. The good will of others is humanity at it's best. We can achieve anything if we keep this alive.

Hello Judith
Just to say I am retired and likewise did not complete the census. i applaud your courage. Not sure whether I can get there to support you so good luck. Are you managing with any legal costs? And is there/will there be any fund we can pay into? It seems to me that many of those those who are full of bluff and bluster on youtube etc do a disappearing act when it gets down to the wire. Imo all of us who disagreed with the census have a duty to support those who drew the short straw in getting summonsed.
