Today Ive been working out utility bills and using those comparison websites, what a joke that is!!

Anyway follow this for a weekly spend as I have taken other things into account.

Rent £115
gas/electric/water £23
phone/broadband £5
tv licence £3
sky tv £15
council tax £25
house ins £2

thats £188 so may as well call it £200 a week just to live a comfortable life just at home with a few luxuries, £10400 a year

id say for very many we are on the breadline, its time we looked at a new system to live in

gas/electric/water £23 thats a joke i have to put £20 on gas and £20 on elec per week not so much on gas in summers but i still have to use it to keep the water warm

are you on a meter?? those fees seems too high is someone else using your utilities to??

food id say an extra £50 to £70 per week and other items take it to £100 a week

to live a good life the average single person needs to earn £500 per week gross

A few points regarding this from someone who is not exactly average. check out the vendors shown on price comparison sites and you might find they are all subsidiaries of the same corporation. i know theres at least one price comparison site for that purpose cos i spoke with a guy who helped put together the website. in regard to shaving off three quid, unless you want some checkered thugs barging down your door with a warrant you better shave off an extra fifteen while your at it. btw tv is as much a luxury as heroin. the point about food has been made. out of all of those bills, i dont need to pay a single one of them and the only sacrifice i need to make for this is to live out the way of traffic jams and pollution and mad people who think its okay for violent control freaks to demand that no one but them can be violent control freaks. ps you didnt mention the costs associated with fines for smoking driving partying etc. if it wasnt for most people being kept on the breadline the people who work for the corporation government complex wouldn't feel special.

ok ive just signed up with edf energy on their fixed until june 2014 dual fuel tariff, £58 per month or £13.38 per week, to me it seems an acceptable amount to pay although to get it under a tenner a week would be great

i think to pay £40 for both per week needs seriously reviewing
