Yes and it would be very difficult to stamp out corruption at the best of times, the only way i see it being made possible is to make it madnatory for anyone in a position of trust to be given a custodial sentence is caught doing anything untoward. But it works the reverse, no punishment whatsoever let alone custodial. Asked to resign with full pension in police corruption cases, just recently an MP, Margaret Moran was caught having claimed £60.000 faulsey in expences and she instantly ran to her gp claiming she was suicidal and got the diagnosis of depression she was looking for. The Crown have stated that it deems her unfit to stand trial on the charges so she can walk away scot free after stealing 60 grand. If i had forged a cheque for 60 quid, let alone 60K, and obtained the funds by deception, i could insist i was depressed and even produce a length of rope as exhibit A and i'd still be prosecuted. The Crown spokeman even said "I realise that by not taking any action against her, this may give the public the wrong impression". No no no mate, we didnt get the wrong impression, we have eyes and brains to see and fathom exactly what is going on.
"I'm going out with a homeless girl. Its good cause i can drop her off anywhere"
