Yet another penalty notice.

Postby chris_m » Fri May 25, 2012 7:35 pm

I'm not having much luck lately!

Parking charge i successfully contested, ongoing DVLA notice and now a new one

Right now this one is my fault. Basically,i had dental treatment done on nhs which they are claiming i wasn't entitled to. I did in fairness tick the wrong box (being on jobseekers) when in fact i earn a very small wage on less than minimum wage and get some working tax credits which is why i believed i was entitled to it so should have ticked another box. I am yet to check this out but do i have a leg to stand on here? If i don't pay in full 197 quid within 7 days, they will start recovery proceedings through the county court.

Thanks in advance,
Chris.
Well, if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight? They never mention that part to us, do they?

Yeah, it is NHS dental services on top right of the letter. Their email address is given as debtrecovery@dpb.nhs.uk.

Thanks,
Chris.

Ok that sounds straight forward enough. If I owe it, then that is fair enough and will of course pay up but genuinely thought I'd get help. I paid for the treatment of non a nhs white filling on the back but a front one they said they'd do on nhs. They haven't helped matters by adding a £50 surcharge for not paying in full within 28 days. I'll try to contest that also.

Thanks again for your help!

Chris.
