Welcome.there are many posts already on the subject with many difererent outcomes.one thing that the police etc like to do to those that ignore them for speeding fines is to revoke your licence.you wont get charged with driving while banned but they can take and crush your car on the strengh of it..all very unlawful but they dont give a shit.

If you were speeding and got a ticket i dont really have any sympathy. Even though this is an offence under the road traffic act. Of course i do believe in the right of people to enter into lawful rebellion. Its just that i notice this seems to happen a lot when peeps want to get away with some offence. And i am begining to strongly object to this sort of usage.
I believe in freedom. But freedom comes with a great responsibility, personal responsibility. People absolutely have the right to be free. But freedom is not freedom when an individuals actions and behaviours interfere with the freedom of others.
This is in part i believe why we have ended up with so many acts and statutes in the first place.
The speed limits are there for a reason, to protect lives. If we take away speed limits there will be masses of people who start driving at idiotic speeds that way out strip their driving ability. Causing accidents and endangering the lives of sensible travellers and peadestrians.

There is no Left or Right - there is only Freedom or Tyranny. Everything else is an illusion, an obfuscation to keep you confused and silent as the world burns around you.

Wow you really gave me the once over, let me explain i was caught on a camera doing 66 in a 50 mph zone on a motorway at 2.00 am in the morning driving from Bradford to Swindon. I have no memory of the camera on the night but i do remember the 50 mph signs on the side for roadworks i believe but no i saw no actual roadwork being done, i allowed my accelerator to creep away from me ( a thing easily done i feel ) when i noticed on the night i was doing around 60 mph i don't recall actually hitting 66. My point is i wasn't speeding dangerously in a 30 mph street. I was on a 3 lane motorway with no traffic around at all but for a few lorries every now and then. i travel around 20,000 miles a year in my work and the roads are worse than ever this year, Road works and (average bloody speed checks everywhere ) sometimes we need to gain a couple of mile here and there to keep on time ( professional reputation and that)
So NO, i dont think its fair that i should now get ( To accept 3 points and £60 ) or get hung out to dry which now looks likely.
Maybe i am wrong about this but in my experience how is this any different to getting a fixed penalty notice for parking on double yellows, if someone parks on double yellows and its causes an accident (unlikely) but so is me causing one on an empty 3 lane motorway at 2.00am in the morning doing 4 mph less than the national speed limit.
All i wanted to know was if there was anything i could do.

The law could be changed with regards speeding and all vehicle manufacturers forced to fit governors that respond to GPS signals so that there would be no such thing as speeding. All cameras could be done away with and police moved to other, more important duties like serving and protecting people instead of collecting taxes via the motorist, but that won't happen and the reason is, because no money would be made.
UK laws are selective, not only by those very laws, but by the corrupt who manage them.

Hello
Well well well! I was under the impression that ALL statutes and acts under the Legal system were not recognized under the Lawful system as you had not caused any harm, loss or injury to another human being - man, woman or child! (not person - legal fiction - a worthless piece of paper). Therefore no victim, NO case.
This is the conclusion I have come too and i am in the same position (sort of) with regards to speeding tickets and am dealing with them as I see fit. I am a 'Professional' driver and drive also for a living, albeit not for much longer as is my choice.
I can only suggest that you do further research of your own to draw your own conclusions in order to make your own decisions.
I would not want to be held responsible for advising as advice from another man can lead to all sorts of complications if the turnout is not what you expected.
Moreover, with the common law on your side - I doubt that you have much to fear.

Good luck.
