my mate runs his diesel on 100% veg oil from asda, I run 50/50 veg/diesel, honestly it runs better than pure diesel. 33p a litre from asda

and it smells really nice too, they'll tell you you need heaters in your fuel system, it will get thick in winter especially if you run 100% veg but I find 50/50..the additives in the diesel keep the veg oil from waxing up in the cold.

biodiesel is just veg oil with the glycerine taken out, they claim the glycerine knackers the rubber seals on your fuel sytem but i've had no trouble at all

I have to say the first time I chucked a litre of cheap cooking oil into my cars tank i was a little worried to say the least

Heating Oil is ace, like you run space heaters on (kerosine) .. but don't forget to mix 1:20 with clean veg oil. I could get that for 82p per gallon at one time .. see a farmer or rural person with oil heating and do a deal.

.. and now, keeping to the thread ... I have a moped, can anyone suggest a nuclear power plant I could fit to it ... may be one of those anti matter jobs like scotty runs on dilithium crystals there is pleanty of room on the shopping rack !!

i try not to watch most of the myth buster stuff because quite abit is miss info or cant be aired due to sponsor issues.
the used cooking oil does work but if you live in the uk where its more chilly then i would do as top gear done and add in 3% white spirit and let stand for a week before refiltering and using used oil.
the white spirits acts as a thinner so doesnt put a strain on your pump and eases the load from your filter also.another problem which can be over looked is the type of gaskets if you have steel gaskets then your going to be safe but the rubber ones or cheaper ones like on rovers (untill they have the head gasket changed) have a tendancy of blowing up (breaking the gasket not actual explosion) id suggest having a look into your car engine and see if they have a tendancy for blowing up using diesel first before adding in another fuel type of any sort.many people run the engines on a mix of diesel and veg oil and especially in the cold will add in like 15-25% diesel to veg oil so it can still start up and it will warm the diesel in the pipes (it can freeze and gloop up in colder weather).

alcohol does work when i say it burns at a hotter temp what i ment to say was the compresion is higher slightly and if you want to go 100% alcohol then you might want to look at converting the timing slightly and maybe even skimming the head and changing some of the pipes to pipes that wont end up breaking down due to alcohol being corrosive.
quite alot of things come off from neat alcohol such as methaol, ethanol, and alcohol so you may want to look into the percentage from the first few batches to see the optimal time to get the fuel you want also the optimal time for just pure alcohol (so you can dilute it with some water and have a merry old christmas) without making yourself go blind

i was speaking to a old guy when i went to belguim the other day and he said he was the guy in the hip flask case 1971 and then we talked about many things and a very interesting thing he said was diesel engines were origionally run on crushed coal (obviously changed some what now but still got me interested)

HH0 does work if you go to smartscarecrow's channel on youtube he does some great things also sirHOAX there are many people on there doing it and many people trying to debunk it another very successful guy from taiwan daniel dingle has managed to make his car run 100% on water electrolosis so it can happen also stanley meyer did it but then went to public turned down 1billion dollers from the arabs and then the day after signing a deal with nasa died of food poisoning :o now not saying its a conspiracy just saying like it is.

97% filtered veg oil (to remove the lumps)
3% white spirit
if (empty($mug->content)) {$mug=new coffee();} else {consume($mug->content,'more');}

I wanted to change the world but God wouldn't give me the source code.

I have accompanied a chap to collect used cooking oil from chinese and indian restaurants for use in his van.
He gave them organic veg in return.
I recently delete my websites and trust people do their own research.
The truth is out there and 'Everything is OK'.

Who mentioned anything about a scooter?

I'm smothering this lot over my body and playing in the fields with the cows!
