FREEDOM is FUN :>)

I have got from the local Legal Dept. of Highland Council the large maps and texts outlining the "Zone"s,
subject to Highland Council By-Laws reguarding drinking in the streets.

Today I called the Head of Legal Services of Highland Council and asked for ALL thr By-Laws in ALL areas of the Highland Council region.

I am also in the process with the local Legal Dept of getting the defination of "Alcoholic beverages"
[some lemonade http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shandy has a % of alcohol]

"Igorance of the lawr is no defence"

Contact your Council's Legal Dept.
and have Fun..............

I recieve many letters from http://www.highland.gov.uk/
I recently cut my finger whn opening a massive missive from http://www.highland.gov.uk/

I have called
http://www.highland.gov.uk/yourenvironm ... omplaints/

who are going to get back to me re compensation I asked for.
I believe they should put a Health and Safety warning on all http://www.highland.gov.uk/
envelopes.

I am reading "Sour Gripes" by Simon Carr
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sour-Gripes-Sim ... 0749951192

No doubt you've heard about the man who set the cruise control on his Winnebago at 70mph, went in the back to make himself a coffee, crashed, and then sued the car manufacturers and won? This is the stuff of urban legend, but given the rise in ludicrous and nonsensical compensation claims that occupy our courts, no-one could be blamed for believing it to be true.

As absurd health and safety rulings mean that children are required to wear industrial goggles to play conkers, and trees are cut down to stop children climbing them, the word 'accident' is becoming a thing of the past. Ambulance-chasing lawyers and no-win-no-fee arrangements urge us to find blame where there is a claim. Our ludicrous and ever-growing compensation culture spirals in and out of control.

Would you be justified in filing a McSuit after one too many burgers? If a coconut fell on your head in Jamaica, would you really consider suing your holiday operator? Could you reasonably claim 'emotional distress' from seeing doctors at work in a hospital? Unbelievably, the answer to all of these is a mind-boggling 'yes'.;

In "Sour Gripes", Simon Carr presents a fascinating account of barmy claims and their ridiculous outcomes, and alerts us to one terrifying fact: you don't have to be directly injured to receive compensation and you don't have to have done anything wrong to get sued. Confused? Incensed? Intrigued? Then this book is for you.

As I MAY visit Leeds in England I decided that I should know the By-Laws which apply there.

I phoned http://www.leeds.gov.uk/Contact_us.aspx

The charming Leeds gal said which area are you looking at?
I said, Leeds.
She said there are hundreds and hundreds of By-Laws.
I replied that why I need a copy of them all as being from Scotland I dont know what they are and chance are I cound break any number of by-laws, I mentioned drinking in the street for one and she tipped my off that was a no, no.

The Leeds gal advised I should write to Leeds and ask for coipes of the hundreds and hundreds of Leeds By-Laws.

Tis a hard job being a Freeman but someone ..............
