I thought this was quite an interesting post... right up until the last sentence when it completely unravelled!
As dangerous as it may seem, I require no sovereign majesty but myself (nor did I before Maastricht).
And even if this weren't the case for myself and, I dare say, many others, how do you propose such a task as finding and electing, by popular mandate I presume, be undertaken?
It strikes me that even if this could be achieved, what would ultimately be achieved would be the perpetuation of a hierarchical system of ruler over ruled. - a case of 'the more things change, the more they stay the same'..?
Just my initial thoughts on what you've posted.
